Return Policy

Non-Refundable Items

Due to the nature of the following products (i.e.. copy written material), we are unable to accept returns, therefore please be sure to select carefully.

  • Software
  • Fabric
  • Books or Magazines
  • DVD’s or Video’s
  • Pens and Markers
  • Interfacing / Stabilizer
  • Patterns

Undamaged and Unopened items

These may be returned within 15 days of the order’s shipping date at the buyer’s expense (see exclusions above). Prior authorization is required for all returns and upon approval, must be accompanied by a copy of the order invoice and copy of credit card receipt. Refunds will be made using the same payment method that was used for the order. No credit will be given for the original postage to have the order shipped to you.

Damaged Goods

Notification is required within 3 days of receiving any items damaged in transit. We will then make appropriate arrangements with you for the return of the damaged goods at our expense.

Backordered Items

From time to time, items you order may be out of stock at KTR Sewing Centre. We will endeavor to restock these items within 7–10 days and we will notify you if a waiting period is involved. At that time you will have the option of cancelling your order or waiting until new stock arrives.

Class / Workshop Policy

Registration Information: Register in Person or by telephone at 204-942-0035. To hold your spot in any class, we must receive payment when your register. We accept Visa, MasterCard and of course Debit cards. We fill classes on a first come, first serve basis.

We add extra classes as required. If a class is full, we'll put your name on a waiting list and call you when we add a new class. When we have insufficient registration to hold a class, we will cancel it one week prior to the scheduled date and offer a full refund. Otherwise, there are no refunds on registration fees. Class fees are non-transferable.

We ask that you pick up a supply / preparation list before the day of your class, and purchase and prepare your materials (if the course requires it) prior to the class start date. Many classes that we hold include the kit fees with registration. The kit fee covers the cost of the required fabric and, if applicable, the pattern / book required for the class. Please ask for details upon registration. In most instances, you can choose the fabric for your kit. You'll need a sewing machine in good working condition for most classes. You should be familiar with your machine before the class starts!

Financing (in store only) through Desjardin Financial Corporation (minimum $800.00 to open an account). Various plans to choose from i.e.: No interest, no payments for 6 months, low interest rate for term loans, etc.

Shipping & Handling

Online Shipping Policy

Packages are shipped within 24 hours, Monday to Friday. During peak seasons, such as Christmas, it may take 3–4 days to ship. Once shipped, please allow up to 7 business days for your package to arrive (Canada) and up 12 business days (United States). Most shipments in Canada and the United states will be made through Canada Post and will be bar coded. This will enable our customers to have their shipments traced on line using: Canada Post's tracking system.

All international shipments may take longer and will not be traceable.

How much will it cost to ship my package?

Shipping prices vary depending on weight, dimensions and destination of your shipment. For the present time, shipping will be calculated after we package your purchase and price it through the Canada Post online calculator and will not appear on screen at the time of purchase. Purchase confirmations will be emailed back to you as soon as we calculate shipping. A $3.00 base fee will be charged for packing materials (bubble envelope / box with packing materials, etc.) All shipments will be insured and will be included in the postal rate.

Oversized and Overweight items

The fees listed above are based on smaller packages or parcels. When an item is deemed either overweight or oversized for Canada Post, alternate shipping methods are required and may result in additional costs. We will contact you with shipping costs prior to processing your order (Example –Sewing Machine Cabinets or Quilting Frames).

Shipping to the United States / International

We will email you with the rates as postage is based on origin, destination, weight and dimensions of the item. Packages will be sent First Class or Parcel Rate (Expedited) and the customer is responsible for all applicable government taxes, duties, custom fees or broker fees.

Personal Information

Our website collects personal information such as your name, address, phone number and email address. We store this information for future reference, up to one year from the date of purchase for ease of reordering. We place your email address into our database to allow us the ability to inform you periodically of future promotions or sales. We can remove your email address from our database at any time upon your request. At no time will your email address ever be given to, or shared with any other businesses or organizations.

For each purchase from KTR Sewing Centre, we require your Credit Card details to process your purchase and will securely discard this information upon completion of the transaction.
